PRAISE develops and nurtures excellence in adolescent African American males academically and socially. The PRAISE model provides parents with an intense alternative educational environment designed to improve academic performance as well as enhance social and emotional development.
PRAISE is comprehensive in that it takes a "wholistic" approach to the empowerment and transformation of adolescent African American males by addressing multiple aspects of their lives.
PRAISE model addresses the systemic challenges that affect African American males through a yearlong Saturday enrichment process for (30) middle school boys ages 11-14. The model features a full Saturday of academic remediation, language immersion, and social & emotional learning modules.
| Orientations and interviews are mandatory for families interested in enrolling a boy in the program. Students will be selected based on the following criteria: |

| The following is a breakdown of the PRAISE model: |

Special 4 week intense summer experience (orientation to the PRAISE model) |

Year long Saturday school (3 Saturday's each month) |

Year long curriculum which features (academic remediation- writing & math, Spanish courses (emphasis on living in a bilingual society, Tai Chi, Yoga, Arts & Crafts, History and Black male survival skills (Dare To Be King). |
